At the event, Ms. Van Thi Anh Thu - Senior Vice President of Human Resources and External Relations of Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam, shared how the company and 3,000 employees have overcome difficulties. She also is one of 10 excellent human resources leaders awarded at the honor ceremony.
She emphasized that Yatte Minahare global business philosophy of Suntory Group and Suntory PepsiCo Company is the key for the company to overcome difficult period. This is the Japanese philosophy that encourages employees to come up with new ideas, dare to fail to get up and fulfill their dreams. This is also the reason why this group empowers regional managers to proactively make decisions to lead the company as well as their employees to overcoming difficult times by the best way.

Ms. Anh Thu described the company's situation at the time of the new epidemic as “demolish and rebuild”, when all the plans of all departments at the beginning of the year must be changed.
“We shift all our offline programs to online, a large part of the marketing budget is also used to support the community. More than ever, this is the time when the State and the people need to join hands from enterprises", analyzed by the representative of Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam.
Ms. Anh Thu said that during the period of social distancing, the company’s internal communication department operated at the highest capacity to share knowledge about the disease, and concurrently communicated and listened to employees to find solutions dealing with the situation. The company leaders are always in the position to come up with a new policy at any time, with the sole goal of maintaining the safety for employees, not letting the remuneration be affected, not letting the employees lose jobs.
At the initial stage of Covid-19, the company saw this as an opportunity for human resources department to change employees' behaviors, encourage them to improve themselves and become a better version of themselves.
