Living up to its motto “In Vietnam – For Vietnam – With Vietnam”, SPVB has been pushing beyond the limits to outperform itself of the previous years. As for corporate management and strategy, SPVB has set out its ambition to become a future-proof organization, which is in good position to cope up with any challenges coming its way, in line with vision of “Growing for Good” and the corporate values of “Yatte Minahare” and “Giving back to society” of Suntory group. All of these help laying a strong foundation for forming the sustainability-oriented corporate management and strategy.
Functioning under a well-shaped management and strategy platform, SPVB has achieved encouraging outcomes for its efforts in conducting sustainability-oriented business and environment activities. From 2006 to 2018, we reduced the amount of water usage per product liter by 70.2%, energy consumed per product unit by 42%, industrial waste per product unit by 34%. Most importantly, 8,000 tons of plastic were saved in production activities to reduce plastic waste over the same period. As for tax compliance, the General Department of Taxation of Vietnam listed SPVB amongst the top 100 Largest Corporate Income Taxpayers in Vietnam in 2016 and 2017. In Vietnam Report’s research published this November, SPVB found its mention amongst the top 3 Most Trustworthy Beverage Companies in Vietnam in 2018 in terms of financial performance, customer satisfaction and corporate’s positive information on the media. During the meeting with Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc in October, the senior leadership delegation from SBFA, PepsiCo and SPVB expressed their commitment to the long-term investment and sustainable development in Vietnam. The PM highly appreciated our contribution to creating a sustainable supply chain, which enables growing trade cooperation and promotion. This opens up the opportunities for living standard improvement of hundreds of local farmers and contributing to the overall community development.
