Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam donated 40,000 liters of Aquafina to help people of Ben Tre province fight salinization



On March 9, 2020, the Provincial Commission for Mass Mobilization and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ben Tre province organized a Program mobilizing the people’s urgent measures to prevent and respond to saline drought therein. Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage Company (SPVB donated 2,000 5-liter Aquafina bottles equivalent to 40,000 liters of water, supporting 4,000 poor households in Chau Thanh, Binh Dai districts and School of disabled children in Ben Tre Province.

Mr. Le Ngoc An, Senior Director of Sales in the Mekong Delta region, representing Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam gave 40,000L Aquafina to the program.

By the early 2020, the  saline intrusion in the province was complicated,  causing serious impact on people's lives and the provincial economic development. Therefore, authorities and people have  implemented many solutions and sought for help to minimize the damage. The contribution of SPVB and other organizations will help Ben Tre people to quickly overcome this difficult period.

Living up to the corporate value of “Giving back to the community", over the past 3 years, SPVB has installed 51 water filtration systems, providing clean water for about 29,300 people and children in Ben Tre through “MIZUIKU – I love clean water” and “Clean Water for Schools”.

Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam’s representative and Ben Tre Youth Union handed water to each household.

The company will bring more clean water to the community nationwide through these two programs in the future.
